BIOGRAPHY
Maryse Ouellet (born January 21, 1983) is a glamour model currently working for World Wrestling Entertainment under a developmental contract. She is currently training in Ohio Valley Wrestling, and occasionally appears on Friday Night Smackdown!. She is also a beauty pagent contestant, winning Miss Hawaiian Tropic Canada 2003 and finishing second at the international final of Miss Hawaiian Tropic 2004.
After several appearances in various newspapers, magazines and TV programs in Canada, Ouellet turned to glamour modelling, appearing on the cover and the inside pages of Playboy Special Editions Vixens in June/July 2006. She is also on the cover of Playboy's The Girls of Canada 2007 Calendar. Upcoming appearances are already scheduled for Playboy's Nudes and Playboy's Lingerie. She has a degree in business administration and holds a black belt in martial arts. She is involved in the foundation of Children General Hospital of Montreal, Quebec.
Ouellet was one of the eight finalists involved in 2006 WWE Diva Search. She was eliminated during the July 24, 2006 show, becoming the second contestant to be eliminated.
On August 4, 2006, WWE reporter, Zack Zeigler, reported on WWE.com that she hasn’t officially been hired, but was invited to observe workouts and the training facility at Ohio Valley Wrestling from Aug. 13-17. On August 24, 2006 WWE officially signed Maryse to a developmental contract.
On the September 22, 2006 edition of SmackDown!, Maryse was shown on the TitanTron welcoming the viewers in French on the season premiere of SmackDown! on the new CW Network, in front of her hometown crowd in Montreal. After continuing to do this for a few weeks afterwards, she was sent back to OVW for further training. There, she appears in the front row at OVW tapings, as well as contests and backstage. At OVW Houseshows, she managed Rene Dupree. Maryse made her in-ring debut on December 16, 2006 OVW House Show from Greensburg, Kentucky where she teamed up with Katie Lea, Kelly Kelly, Tori and She Nay Nay to defeat the team of ODB, Milena Roucka, Josie, Beth Phoenix & Melody.
Maryse has appeared on SmackDown welcoming viewers back to the CW Network, and a second time (while in a bathtup speaking in French), and it has recently been stated she is appearing on the January 12th edition on smackdown, walking into a shower.
